So I have just received a new video about Godfather 2 and have to say that I havent really seen this for other games in similar genre. It's almost like RTS + Open World (GTA and Asassin's Creed are considered as open world games)
I played the first Godfather game by EA on my Nintendo Wii and loved the whole extortion bit + moving into other people's turf but this is different and frankly RTS is not a genre that I am keen in (I dont like to think too much when I play games hahaha) but this is kinda like a new element to throw into the game play.
Check out the trailer for yourself to see what I am talking about.

Abandon all hope, ye who enter here.
This has probably been out for a month but not sure how many ppl know about this and what they think. Alot of "pseudo-intellects" or, not sure if there is a term for them, proper intellects, have been up in arms in some of the forums about this.
Some see it as an affront to The Divine Comedy. Others are holding back on their opinions as they are cynical about it. Some are excited but heck, I'm a huge fan of western RPGs like Diablo, Baldur's Gate, Fable 2 and God of War.
EA Redwood Shores, the same guys who did Dead Space is now working on this and I cant wait to see more on this.

Not sure if it is good or bad but since Faith's look was revealed, there has been tonnes of feedback from gamers around the world.
Like the game itself, Faith's look has divided most gamers who have been watching the progress of the game from inception till launch.
Some commented that Faith looked too scary, ugly, weird etc. Other liked her look, lauding her as realistic looking - "Finally, an in-game character that actually looks human and believable"
It's kinda funny. There are a few people who have actually rendered different looks for Faith as food for thought.

I mean, is it possible for Lara Croft to even transverse those huge gaps acrobatically without her b**bs getting in the way?
As a woman, I can tell you that having b**bs that huge, would really hurt like crap even if you walk vigorously down a flight of steps. I have friends that have backaches by the end of the day from being top-heavy.
But then again, it is really subjective. Gaming is a form of escapism(be prepared to suspend belief)..so really, anything works in-game. So playing a character who looks like a 12 year old with double D b**bs is not that crazy after all.
Plus, let's not forget the cultural nuances involved. In Asia, Faith's current look may not be something visually appealing to the general population of gamers - "this is not what the ideal Asia woman would look like".

I just found out this morning about the terrorist attacks in Mumbai.
To anyone in India who is reading this post, I hope that you, your family and friends are safe and sound.
Been watching this news as I had gone to Mumbai last year for work and stayed in Taj for a period of time. Oh man.....

I tried using my big sister's skateboard and failed horribly (yes alongside with my lack of talent in establishing rhythm on Rock Band drums, I lacked a sense of balance as well)
And when I lived in Melbourne, I chanced about this arcade machine with a skateboard and tried it. To my surprise, I did pretty ok when it came to fake skateboarding.
Coming back to Singapore, it has been a long time since I tried it again, because it doesnt look very glamourous for one to frequent the arcade at my age...
But now, perhaps I can relight that passion by fake skateboarding in the comfort of my home.

Artwerk Music and Jamglue is excited to bring you a remix contest featuring "Still Alive" the theme song from EA's Mirror's Edge video game performed by Swedish Pop Star Lisa Miskovsky. Head on down to the competition page to get more details on how to participate
Reckon I wont even join the competition because I have a really bad sense of rhythm (I really suck at drums for Rock Band) and I did try to do a remix last night after work but after an hour of tinkering around, I think it requires too much work to come out with a remix version that is easy on the ears.
I've had a browse thru some of the entries and there are some really good and VERY bad ones...hahaha...
20th Nov 2008
So recently the news of NVidia's PhysX technology being used in Mirror's Edge PC version just hit the web. One of my colleagues sent me the video to illustrate what the game would look like on PCs and can I tell you that I am bloody blown away by the detail in the trailer footage?
Seriously, as a gamer, I think that this game looks amazing on PC and I didnt expect it because there is the cliche that any console game that is being ported to PC usually sucks (issues with controls, camera angles, frame rate, texture, clipping etc and what not)
I am not sure if it is even safe to make an early opinion on this based on the trailer but it really looks amazing. Have uploaded the clip to youtube for you all to have a look.
Edit: been trying to upload the hi res version on youtube but it is taking a majorly long time. In the meantime, a
clearer version of the vid has been uploaded onto the EA siteMM has also started a thread on this in the boards
